Fall is officially our favorite time of year! We always host Thanksgiving, the cooking, the cleaning, the decorating, the whole shebang! On top of hosting Thanksgiving this year, we had a wedding the day after…phew. What a week. Fortunately, it all went without a hitch, we were so happy to get to play with our treasures to get some cool new ideas. Here are some photos of what we did, with a step into our home, we hope you get excited for decorating at your next holiday party. With November coming to a close and December creeping up on us, we are sure there will be lots of events to make shiny and bright!
For Susan and Noah, we chose purples and greens to show the couples love of the outdoors. Lots of texture, and interesting elements helped to create a very natural feel within the ceremony and reception decor. Mixes of wild flowers and odd ends spilled out of wooden boxes and iron pillars. This blog post is just shots of the ingredients and not the entire wedding decor. We like to shoot just the flowers themselves sometimes, just so our readers can really appreciate the individual beauty within each variety. Sometimes you just have to stop and appreciate each blossom for it’s own WOW!
Next week we will include the photos of the actual designs themselves, for now, we hope you enjoy the blooms!
A couple of weeks ago, we were lucky enough to be a part of A Night with the Knot. Premiere bridal vendors from the Northern California region were invited to come out to The Winery SF on Treasure Island for a nice little mixer. We were welcomed with cocktails and tasty food from Elaine Bell http://www.elainebellcatering.com/ and Michi’s Catering http://www.michisushi.com/! Meeting and talking with even some of our favorite designers like Nancy Liu Chin http://www.nancyliuchin.com/and Asiel Design http://www.asieldesign.com/, this was such a nice break from the normal grind. Here are some shots I snapped while we were there, hope you enjoy!
