Thanksgiving Week… Part One: Our House

shooting around in the backyard… loving all the leaves

Fall is officially our favorite time of year! We always host Thanksgiving, the cooking, the cleaning, the decorating, the whole¬†shebang! On top of hosting Thanksgiving this year, we had a wedding the day after…phew. What a week. Fortunately, it all went without a hitch, we were so happy to get to play with our treasures to get some cool new ideas. Here are some photos of what we did, with a step into our home, we hope you get excited for decorating at your next holiday party. With November coming to a close and December creeping up on us, we are sure there will be lots of events to make shiny and bright!

…these golden leaves just teasing you to come out and play!
We LOVE this little gem! Pop in a lit tea light and get to viewing…watch some mini cartoon slides by candle light…literally.

We really wanted to pull all of our favorite fall shades together…

Mixed up dishes add a personal touch to each place setting…this one was my favorite!

A great way to get those old furs out of the closet…chair treatments anyone?

Antique drawer pulls turn into napkin rings! What a great idea.

Susan and Noah’s wedding at The Citizen: The Process

For Susan and Noah, we chose purples and greens to show the couples love of the outdoors. Lots of texture, and interesting elements helped to create a very natural feel within the ceremony and reception decor. Mixes of wild flowers and odd ends spilled out of wooden boxes and iron pillars. This blog post is just shots of the ingredients and not the entire wedding decor. We like to shoot just the flowers themselves sometimes, just so our readers can really appreciate the individual beauty within each variety. Sometimes you just have to stop and appreciate each blossom for it’s own WOW!

Next week we will include the photos of the actual designs themselves, for now, we hope you enjoy the blooms!

Our very best,

A Night out with the Knot: The Winery SF

Free copies of the Knot for all of the bridal industry guests.

A couple of weeks ago, we were lucky enough to be a part of A Night with the Knot. Premiere bridal vendors from the Northern California region were invited to come out to The Winery SF on Treasure Island for a nice little mixer. We were welcomed with cocktails and tasty food from Elaine Bell http://www.elainebellcatering.com/¬†and Michi’s Catering http://www.michisushi.com/! Meeting and talking with even some of our favorite designers like Nancy Liu Chin http://www.nancyliuchin.com/and Asiel Design http://www.asieldesign.com/, this was such a nice break from the normal grind. Here are some shots I snapped while we were there, hope you enjoy!
