Wedding season kick-off at The Grand Island Mansion!

This last weekend was the kick-off of our wedding season!  Where else would we start it than at our home base… The Grand Island Mansion! Eurika had been planning her dream wedding for quite some time. We had been back and forth over lots of little details, vintage rentals, milk glass, what colors and types of flowers she enjoyed.

We finally decided on assortments of tall and small milk glass vessels. She rented gold mirror trays to place some assortments on to give it a more textured look. Coral, the color of the season, was in full effect and with Spring in almost full swing, there were also so many ranunculus and poppies to play with!

We did do one thing for this event that was a little different (and we loved it)!! In the Gazebo area, we decided to string soft soft peach carnations on strands of crystals. This looked amazing in the sunlight!

Here are some snapshots of her event, we hope you enjoy them.

The Bride and Groom chose to work with White Daisy Photo for their big day, these photos on the blog were taken by me, but their professional photos were taken by the wonderful White Daisy:

This lovely wedding was hosted by The Grand Island Mansion, to see more on this venue visit:

This bouquet was to die for! We loved creating this romantic look for Eurika’s big day.

Simple wax flower bunches for the bridesmaids were really quite sweet!
LOVED the gloves!

We really do believe that ALL of the little touches make a HUGE difference! There are so many cool tools out there for brides to get their paws on when it comes to paper goods. These little menus made such a difference on the tables and added more color and totally enhanced the overall decor!

Creating a very seamless look is easy to do. The table numbers were printed on newspaper, newspaper was also used on the sign in table where the gift cards were to be placed. This adds interest without being too overwhelming or distracting.

We loved these mixed spring bouquets for the guest tables! Lace was wrapped around some of the glass to add to her look, lace was also incorporated into the favors and votives.

Flowers should make a statement no matter what size they are… I’d say these ones did their job! Thanks to the amazing San Francisco flower mart and all their wonderful vendors for such great quality goods.

LOVE poppies!

These guys were hammin’ it up for the camera!

This guy walked clear across the ceremony site to serenade me… (I think he just saw my camera)! Can you say embarrassing??
Post-ceremony photos… we can’t wait to see the photos from White Daisy! We love her work.

Her veil was to die for! What an elegant look…

Here is a close up of the gorgeous gazebo decor! We love this look.

Isn’t this so cute?! I’m not actually sure where the bride got this, but I’m guessing it was a way cool etsy find…
…It’s amazing what cool things you can find on Etsy!
