Laura @ Dogwood Party Rentals gets Hitched!

DSC_0005Soooo…. one of our FAVORITE vendors (Dogwood Party Rentals) has this daughter. Her name is Laura. She is awesome. She was an even more awesome bride. Here are some sneak peeks of her wedding at the Historic (and rumored to be Haunted) Sutter Club in Sacramento. We installed the most amazing staircase piece and we can’t wait to get the photos from the photographer! Until then… this is all we got!

Amanda and Peter say I do at The Grand Island Mansion

image
Our vintage silver collection was perfect for this look here! Chocolate lace and soft pink roses and a fluffy peony, coupled with the delicate fresh vine gives the right amount of pop on this crisp white cloth.

We are SO excited to have received these amazing teasers from Kara Stewart Photography! Amanda was such a joy to work with, super easy going and with fabulous taste we might add! She decided to go with soft neutrals to help create a soft romantic feel for her and groom Peter’s big day. Being at the Grand Island Mansion is always a pleasure, it’s like our second home there, and we love all of their delightful staff. Here at Jackie’s we feel that joining your overall feel and the style of your venue is vital to having a seamless ambiance. Romantic and the mansion go beautifully hand in hand here!

Looking forward to share more photos of this lovely day in the near future, for now, enjoy the scroll!

The Bride’s bouquet was an absolute stunner! A mix of soft fluffy blooms in what we like to call “yummy” shades. We also added some more interesting blooms like this chocolate lace and scabiosa pods to toughen it up just a touch.

Loving these Bridesmaid dresses! What an amazing shade to choose.

This gazebo was one of our favorites! Lush full garlands of Salal and Plumosa draped amongst lush clusters of white Hydrangeas and Voluminous Roses! Not to mention the antique chandelier!! And if you have a really keen eye, you may find the Phalanopsis Orchid plants and Curly Willow peeking out from the stone garden urns.

Harvest Season here we come!

Hi Lovies!

Okay so this past weekend we were lucky enough to squeeze in some time for a super fun harvest-inspired shoot. We got to work with Amy at Amy Atkins photography on this special photo shoot. The couple we shot was already married (12 years) and had two adorable girls together. They were married quite young and did not get to have a super fancy wedding so this was somewhat of a re-do for them.

The bride was the sweetest and was just oozing with excitement and love for all the prettiness. Turns out the photographer set up a surprise visit from their pastor so they could renew their wedding vows! It was adorable. So they did just that… renewed their vows at sunset in front of a Jasmine-covered arbor and hanging clusters of Pomegranates. It was a good day!

Rustic Romance

DSC_0552

Hi Guys!

This past week we had three different weddings. With all different looks going on, it was hard to only choose one to post today. We had one that was a more fall color combination in the morning time at Grand Island Mansion, One that was tall full centerpieces of white hydrangeas and green apples at Lake Natoma Inn and this one shared in the post was a gorgeous rustic romantic look. We were so fortunate to snap up the last of the Ranunculus and white Anemones! This wedding was held  at a private home up in the Folsom area.

Hope you enjoy the snapshots from this event and we will post up the rest of the photos from our other two events shortly!

Have a fabulous Monday everyone.

Some fun boutonnières. Our Bride wanted them to be a nice mix match of all her favorite blooms, this is a fun alternative to all matchy matchy personal flowers.

Intimate Romance at Viscaya: Caroline Caton and Evan Purtill

Caroline is actually a friend of mine. I met this pint-sized cutie back while I was working for Kate Spade in 2008. Caroline’s style is very girly and classic, from the polka dotted Kate Spade bowls she incorporated into her table décor, to the pom poms of tulle that hung from the trees at her ceremony, she was true to her personal style!

We arrived at the Viscaya at nine am on Sunday for the quaint morning nuptials to see the bride hop out of the car in what else but a baby pink satin robe! Soooo Caroline! She dawned a soft birdcage veil with a large Crème bow on top and the prettiest shade of pink lips.

The bouquet was solid white and crème shades of peonies. This was quite the challenge, considering peony season is just beginning to creep upon us. We literally had to chase down vendors all over the market to snap up the last few bunches. But in the end it all worked out, they all opened up beautifully for her big day!

With only seventeen guests, there was one grand kings table to decorate. A runner of Ivory lace and four large bouquets of crèmes, whites, and ivory flowers lined the center of the table. Hydrangeas, carnations, vendela roses, and ball mums looked so clean and chic for this wonderful occasion.

Take a look at some of the snapshots we took from Caroline and Evan’s big day, we hope you get a little inspired!

Best,

Chelsie
