Danielle and Niko’s wedding was all about rich warm fall hues. Lots of yummy colors and cool textures. The bride is a major horse lover, so we had a little fun adding equestrian details to the reception. Collections of toy horses and horse-riding ribbons and trophies were fun additions to the decor. Romantic loose style arrangements draped down from the collection of gold and crystal vessels. This look is great for late summer and early fall brides, the Dahlias are plentiful and the garden roses are still within reach! Hope to inspire and let us know what you think.
We had our first bridal show of 2015 yesterday at the Grand Island Mansion and are officially kicking off the new year with this awesome red wedding at Arden Hills Country Club. We did this wedding back over the summer, but decided to share it with you all today. We absolutely love the dark garnet hues and pops of white in this bouquet, berries and interesting greens make it interesting and full of garden-y goodness. Our bride and groom wanted a dramatic affair for their guests. Dark wood walls, matching chiavari chairs, rich reds and lots of crystals and candles to set the mood. We hope this one inspires you and gets your wheels turning for your own nuptials!
Shawn was such a joy to work with! She always was in the best mood at all of our appointments, cheery and happy. Her decor really reflected her personality. We can’t say it enough… creating a wedding that reflects you and your fiance is the most important thing to remember while planning your big day. You want your guests to feel at home and to walk into your big day thinking, WOW, this is just like them!
Shawn chose to work with very soft and fluffy flowers, brides that choose this look tend to be on the playful, girly side of things. Garden roses, Dahlias, and the dustiest dusty miller added light touches of the yummiest colors! She rented the most dazzling gold sequined table cloths for her head table and dessert table from La Tavola Linens.
Nods to the groom and his favorite past time were also incorporated into the event. Fishing!!! The fish basket on the favor table, and even a go-fish stand for the little kids to play.
This event was so fun we are so happy to get to share it with you all!
Okay so this past weekend we were lucky enough to squeeze in some time for a super fun harvest-inspired shoot. We got to work with Amy at Amy Atkins photography on this special photo shoot. The couple we shot was already married (12 years) and had two adorable girls together. They were married quite young and did not get to have a super fancy wedding so this was somewhat of a re-do for them.
The bride was the sweetest and was just oozing with excitement and love for all the prettiness. Turns out the photographer set up a surprise visit from their pastor so they could renew their wedding vows! It was adorable. So they did just that… renewed their vows at sunset in front of a Jasmine-covered arbor and hanging clusters of Pomegranates. It was a good day!
