Regal Reds at The Grand Island Mansion

Tomi and Zach tied the knot this past weekend at The Grand Island Mansion. We were a little worried about the weather with it being August, but it was actually so nice outside. We did have to deal with the Delta breeze… that was a little more aggressive than breezy. But the wedding went on without a hitch and everything was gorgeous!

It was our first time decorating the column side of the garden this elaborately, so we had been making plans for months prior on how to re-create the infamous pinterest image of the flowy gobs of fabric and drippy chandelier! We created a sturdy structure to attach the organza to and figured a way to attach our antique chandelier without being nervous.

Here are some of the images I snapped at our event, I really hope they can inspire you to create your own look for your wedding day.

We never just drop and go… we are always running around the venue touching things up and adding whatever leftover flowers we have. Here is mom adding more Hanging Amaranths to this awesome design!

We couldn’t get enough of these HUGE dahlias! This red color is called Royal, they were definitely just that.

The Bride actually opted for a vintage broach bouquet, she bought it online from another vendor, but we did love all the bling!

The Bride’s sister made this dress! I know crazy right?! What an awesome job. We loved how fluffy the tool was.

Gobs of crystals draped from almost ever corner of the ceremony. We even hand wired red crystals into our iridescent strands.

We were so proud of the finished look here. This ceremony set up was a first for us and we take the construction process very seriously, the last thing you want is a makeshift hook breaking… no chandeliers falling on anyone. This look was constructed as thoughtfully as it was designed. That is a great feeling!
