Colleen & Jeff Nettleton

Hi guys!

We are so excited about this next couple, Colleen and Jeff were friends of ours over this past year. We met Colleen through a mutual friend, as she is a STUNNING photographer! We met last December to do some styled shoots with her and wow, what a blast of a person she is! Jeff is the sweetest guy and we just loved meeting with them to talk flowers. Colleen and Jeff love the woods and huge pine trees, we incorporated lots of Douglas Fir into their arrangements, as well as rosemary and a plethora of other interesting greens. Colleen’s taste in decor was very simplistic and clean, not too fussy. We were so giddy collecting our favorite foliages at market that week! Here are some of the photos we snapped on her big day… I’m so sad I didn’t get more of her reception (we were also guests), but her amazing photographer, Bret Cole will I’m sure more than deliver in that department!

Enjoy!

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever met more adorable or well behaved flower girls and ring boys! They were so sweet and were so eager to wear their little olive crowns! Total dolls.

Their dresses and ballet slippers were the perfect touch.

Colleen is a Coke freak! So these cute little bottles were the perfect beverage of choice to greet guests at the ceremony site.

Soft and Girly: Shawn and Landon Little

DSC_0825

Shawn was such a joy to work with! She always was in the best mood at all of our appointments, cheery and happy. Her decor really reflected her personality. We can’t say it enough… creating a wedding that reflects you and your fiance is the most important thing to remember while planning your big day.  You want your guests to feel at home and to walk into your big day thinking, WOW, this is just like them!

Shawn chose to work with very soft and fluffy flowers, brides that choose this look tend to be on the playful, girly side of things. Garden roses, Dahlias, and the dustiest dusty miller added light touches of the yummiest colors! She rented the most dazzling gold sequined table cloths for her head table and dessert table from La Tavola Linens.

Nods to the groom and his favorite past time were also incorporated into the event. Fishing!!! The fish basket on the favor table, and even a go-fish stand for the little kids to play.

This event was so fun we are so happy to get to share it with you all!

We died over Shawn’s dress… it’s like a cotton candy dream! And I think we almost broke someones eardrum screaming at market over those PERFECT orchids!

These Dahlias… there are no words to describe such perfection. We Definitely had a good market week. During peak wedding season, vendors literally hide buckets of these in the backs of their coolers for their clients!

I’m such a fan of the pie table instead of cake! These pies were so cute:) …And the calligraphy?! I wish my handwriting was that awesome.

Harvest Season here we come!

Hi Lovies!

Okay so this past weekend we were lucky enough to squeeze in some time for a super fun harvest-inspired shoot. We got to work with Amy at Amy Atkins photography on this special photo shoot. The couple we shot was already married (12 years) and had two adorable girls together. They were married quite young and did not get to have a super fancy wedding so this was somewhat of a re-do for them.

The bride was the sweetest and was just oozing with excitement and love for all the prettiness. Turns out the photographer set up a surprise visit from their pastor so they could renew their wedding vows! It was adorable. So they did just that… renewed their vows at sunset in front of a Jasmine-covered arbor and hanging clusters of Pomegranates. It was a good day!

Kelley & Casey at the Sacramento Grand Ballroom

DSC_0948

DSC_0950

Kelley and Casey got married at the Sacramento Grand Ballroom this past Saturday. Their wedding was such a fun one for us to create, being that it was more of a clean style. Kelley wanted to do a contemporary look with nods to the twenties. Tons of Orchids, Jasmine, and Stephanotis created the most aromatic scent to welcome family and friends. Here are some of the photos that I took at the event while we were getting things all in order! Hope they inspire you and help you decide what you want for your very special day.
